Oh my goodness!! I have no words to describe this except delicious beyond belief!! Perfect combination of flavors. I make a double batch every time, and like other reviewers make the beans the day before. I feed 5 teenage boys and they all love this. It's healthy too which is great. I follow the recipe exactly except I don't have/use the minced jalapeno. Any kind of sturdy toast will do. Don't forget the lemon and Parmesan cheese, it makes the dish! Thank you for this amazing recipe! :) My boys have also skipped the egg and put these beans over rice and loved it that way too. So versatile!

So good!!! The flavor of the stuffing was out of this world! DH said he could eat it every day! After reading the other reviews, I too cut the butter in half and used less liquid ( 2 cups chicken broth) The other changes I made were, I sauteed the onion and celery in olive oil, used frozen boneless chicken breasts, and used 2 cups of chicken broth instead of water. I will cut the butter down even more next time ( 1/4 cup?) and since it was mushy, I will cut the broth back to maybe 1-1 1/2 cups . Really though......very very tasty and easy! I put it in my favorites...thanks!

When you read these reviews, you will see many references to JELLYBEAN14. I searched forever to find that review! So to save you the frustration, she posted it on page 25! ( July 2005) Turned out great BTW.
