Garlic Cheese Chicken Rollups

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2009
I actually made these with thin slices of pork loin. They turned out really well. I though the garlic cheese was a bit bland, but I used a homemade version of it. The one person that I thought wouldn't like it said they were really good. He liked the change from how the chops are usually prepared. I will use again...and with chicken!! :)

Cuban Midnight Sandwich

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2009
These were pretty good. I used them on my George Foreman grill with a little pressure. I just like that I can customize it for each person. I could only fit 2 sandwiches on at a time so it was difficult to have everyone's done at the same time and still hot...but a nice change of pace!! Thanks!!

Lemon Chicken Tenders

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2009
There was WAY too much sauce and it was very sweet. I actually barely drizzled any on half of them since I was afraid that the kids wouldn't eat it. I was right. I was the only one that didn't mind the sauce as much, but it was a bit much even for me. I think that it could be great with some tweaking but I am not up to that!! Thanks for a new idea though!!

Sweet 'n' Sour Chops

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2009
The smell of the vinegar was WAY too overwhelming for me. I was sick from putting the marinade together and sick again the next day when I opened it to grill the chops. Kids didn't seem to mind it but I could not eat any of it. I ended up with a PB&J with milk.

Honey Grilled Chicken

These were pretty good. Not as much flavor as I would have liked in them but still good. I use my George Foreman grill all year round so this gives us another recipe to rotate in. Thanks...

Honey Ribs

These turned out just ok. There wasn't a very strong flavor so we slathered them in honey BBQ sauce anyway. I had high hopes but it kind of fell flat. Thanks though....

Easy Lasagna II

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2009
OK....I triedto listen to the advice of others. I made sure that I added extra sauce so it wouldn't dry out. But then it turned out pretty runny. And there was no way that only 9 noodles were going to cover it all. So I had to use 12. It fell apart pretty east but no one really complained much. I would try this again with a tad less sauce than I used this time. ((It was wonderful the next day though!!))

Anniversary Chicken I

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2009
I thought this turned out really well. ((My husband and oldest daughter didn't care too much for it though.)) I marinated the chicken in the teriyaki while I fried some real bacon. Using a bit of the grease I lightly browned the chicken. Added to the dish and topped with the ranch and green onions. They baked for about 20 minutes and then I added a bunch of cheese and the crumbled bacon. I baked it another 15 minutes and they were ready. I thought the flavors were great and the chicken was very juicy. But the other two said is was just OK. Well, I am the cook and I will make it again!!

Bacon Jack Chicken Sandwich

This is just a very basic grilled chicken recipe. The chicken didn't have much flavor so I guess it was good to add the extras. Otherwise, kinda boring!

Sylvia's Ribs

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2009
WONDERFUL!! I don't think I made the same amount of ribs since I had tons of leftover sauce....aww darn! But the ribs were extremely tender and the sauce was amazing. It really stuck to the meat, unlike BBQ sauce. I poured to leftover sauce into an empty ketchup bottle to use later. ((I actually used the sauce to make chicken thighs. Baked them with sauce on one side then flipped and added more suace until done!!)) YUMMY! This is a definite sauce that will be used constantly!! THANKS!!!!

I found that I used the smaller biscuits and it held hardly any tuna mix. But they were perfect size for the little kids. The 1 and 4 yr old ate 5 between them!!

This was so blah. Everyone was looking forward to it but then as we scooped it out of the slow cooker, we were already looking for something else to eat. I won't be making this again.

Garlic Cheddar Chicken

Reviewed: May 20, 2009
This turned out really well. We were pressed for time and wanted something good but fast. This was it!! I had 6 chicken breast halves, which I pounded thin. I didn't have the full amount of cheese (a cup maybe) but it was still great. We are garlic lovers so I added a bit more than called for. I think that what would have sent this over the top was to have even more garlic in the bread crumb mixture. I will try that next time! Thanks....

Slow Cooker Chicken Cordon Bleu

Reviewed: May 10, 2009
I wish I could do a 1/2 star with this. It was a decent recipe but the stuffing -- half of it was so soggy that it was inedible and the other half was still rock hard....so I made another package of stuffing on the stove. The taste of the rest was pretty good. Imay use this agin but just skip the stuffing part of it. Thanks anyway....

Easy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2009
The first batch came out dark on bottom and goopy on top. I made adjustments and the second batch came out done but completely flat. Readjusted and then they lost their bottoms...I ended up making sandwiches with them ((putting icing between two cookies)) That was the only thing that saved them. I will stick with the original cookie recipe. Thanks though...

Unbelievable Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2009
This was just OK. I used chicken drumsticks and doubled the marinade since I used 16 drumsticks. I marinated them overnight and though they were juicy, they didn't have much flavor. I did make them indoors....so I baked them for about fifteen minutes and then broiled them until done and a bit crispy. Everyone said that if there was more flavor they would be good. I will stick to other recipes. Thanks though....

Pasta With Tuna Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2009
This turned out decent. I don't know if I can really rate this properly though. I thought I had all ingredients on hand but realized at the last minute I didn't. So I read another review where they just used jarred sauce. So that's what I did. I added more garlic to the sauce and still used 2 cans tuna. The tuna flavor wasn't overpowering but it wasn't really special either. I will try this agian with the recipe as stated and update then!! Thanks....

Simple Time Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2009
I thought that these turned out really well. I blended the mayo with the butter before spreading, it does make it much easier. And I had sharp cheddar that I grated over the top. I used 6 smaller chops so I just guessed on the amount of cheese on top. I baked them at 350 for about 30 minutes. They were moist and flavorful. The only drawback I saw was that the cheese melted right off the top. ((We just scooped it back up but...)) I may next time add the cheese to the top about 10 minutes before done. See if it sticks better....But the entire family really liked this so we will use again!! Thanks
