I made this tonite and it has excellent flavor. However, don't use shortening - yuk. Use regular olive oil (not virgin), enough to coat the pan. Also, the 2 cup of water is NOT needed. The simmering beef creates enough of it's own juice. I used regular corn flakes and slightly crushed them. Adds a little more crunch. Other than these minor things, it is excellent.
