I love my little kitchen, i love my gadgets and I love sharing the fruits of my labour! I love baking cookies that I know will drive my boyfriend wild! Christmas is big in my family. My mom and I bake for days. I use her kitchen, It kicks my kitchen's butt. We're not a fancy peoples, but there is a lot to be said for space! Too many to list!!!! ;) My family is from Finland and making Pulla (Finish coffee bread) is a right of passage. All Finish women have made Pulla, except me.... until recently. OK, the bad news first - My mother brought me a hand blender from Florida last summer which opened the door to amaizing Meringues and fabulous mixes! Of course, being an idiot, i thought it would be a good idea to use the blender to begin the Pulla dough (while it was still soft with only 1/2 the flour - cause of course i'd use my hands after it started to come together). Well, didn't i blow the motor! So, no more hand blender. It still sits on my counter and I keep plugging it in and shaking it and praying that it will start up. It's dead. Good news - the PUlla was AWSOME! The recipe appears on this site and it's very accurate - check it out!
