About this Cook
Mother of 2 boys human and two boys canine. Happily married since 1997. I do home health care part time and am a stay at home mom the rest of the time. My cooking skills come in handy with my line of work. It is good to see my patients eating good home cooked meals and not pre-fab junk.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Big family meals on Sundays when we can all be outside. I hope these warwm memories will stay with my children and that they will repeat them with their own families some day.

Chocolate Chip Orange Zucchini Bread
Love, love, love! I wish I could marry this recipe!!! I followed the tips from other reviewers (1/2c apple sauce 1/2c oil and increased the zucchini to 3 cups) I made a couple of changes of my own too - using eggbeaters instead of eggs, used an entire orange for the zest and sprinkled the top with pumpkin spice and raw sugar. It was fantastic! My two boys kept making gagging noise saying it was gross to make bread out of zucchini - HA! They devoured it! Thanks for a great recipe and for helping to prove once again, that mommy knows best!!

Sesame Noodles
This recipe blew us all out of the water it was so fantastic! My husband made it and added his own "flavor" to recipe. He used 1/2 the sugar, and omited the scallions (we were out) Even our pickiest eaters fell in love. Thanks Scoopnana! You rock!!

Sauteed Apples
This was fantastic! I made the Pepperidge Farm puff pastry shells, then filled with the apples, topped with ice cream then a little extra sauce from the apple recipe and what a hit. Fast, simple and delicious!!! Big hit!
