Beer Batter Fish Fillets

This was really good. The batter stuck to the fish, and puffed up a little. I would have liked it a little thicker and crispier. I held it in the oven on low until all the fish was ready. That may have contributed to the lack of crispiness.

BBQ Country Style Ribs

These ribs are very good. I realized after cooking for 2 hours that there was no barbeque sauce in the house so I made my own from a recipe on here called "Bar-B-Que Sauce". It was so good. Only change is that I broiled the ribs for a few minutes to get a nice carmelization of the sauce.

Asian Chicken Salad

I love the dressing. Yum! The salad gets a few variations depending on what I have on hand; mandarin oranges, waterchestnuts, chinese noodles, etc. Great meal for summer nights.

Butternut Squash Bisque

This is delicious. Very much like the one I spend a lot of money for at Stew Leonards (specialty store in NY area). I used frozen squash, and it was still quite good. I didnt have leeks on hand, so used a little more onion.

Bodega Bay Cioppino

Made for the first time tonight. Served to guests and they loved it. I modified it slightly based on the ingredients I had on hand, in place of crab I used lobster - it was on sale - and littleneck clams, scrod, and shrimp. I think any combination of shellfish works nicely. The sauce was tasty. Many other recipes call for fish stock or clam juice but I didnt have either and it was just fine without. Served with bread and a dessert of fresh fruit. Was a big hit.

Best Bread Machine Bread

Good bread, easy to prepare. Nice taste. Texture is a little too airy for my tastes. I wonder if that is my bread machine though, because all my breads are like that in the machine.

Rich Italian Sausage and Potato Soup

This is as good as, if not better than the one at the restuarant. Made it twice. First time was much better. Second time the potatoes began to fall apart. The only difference, time 1 I used red skinned potatoes but time 2 I used baking potatoes.

Burgundy Pork Tenderloin

This was terrific. I didnt have brown gravy mix, so I made my own. If you want, I used roughly 3/4 cup beef broth, 2-3 tablespoons of cornstarch, 1 teaspoon or more of soy sauce and wisked well. Added to the pan juices and wine at the very end and cooked in the roasting pan, on the stove top until it was thickened. Delicious.

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Very good cornbread, but I read it as 1/4 cup of butter (1/2 stick) instead of 1/4 lb. So, I ended up with a drier, but still yummy cornbread. So, if you are trying to watch your butter intake, rest assured that you will get a good result with 1/2 the amount of butter.
