Stuffed Green Peppers I

Very good and easy. I made it even easier by using leftover mexican flavored rice from the previous nights dinner. I added a little garlic to the onions and cooked them separately from the ground beef then let it all simmer together for 15 min. I cooked the peppers for 30+ min but i dont think that was enough time. All the cheese didnt melt. I think covered and cooked at 350 it should be in the oven 45 min to get everthing nice and bubbly.

a little sweet, but still very good. next time i will cut out half the sugar and frost the muffins with a cream cheese frosting. these practically scream out for it.

Hollandaise Sauce

I'm giving this 5 stars because it is EASY and so good! I used salted butter and found it a tad too salty (didn't add the salt the recipe called for). Next time I will use unsalted and salt to taste. A halved recipe easily serves 4 over salmon fillets.

Authentic Mexican Tortillas

these were bland. this was my first time making tortillas so getting round tortillas was almost impossible, but not only that. these tasted like dry paste. yukky

Juicy Roasted Chicken

So easy and SOOO good!! I have made this a few times. I brined one (which is supposed to make it even more juicy) and i dont think it really made that much of a difference. This chicken is already super moist. Try it, i promise you wont be let down.

Burrito Pie

I tripled the tortillas and also layered the beans and meat separately. I wanted it more like a lasagna and less like a casserole. I also added extra spice and peppers to the meat mixture, as i LOVE things spicy. This recipe was so easy and really delicious. No matter what you put in here, you cant go wrong!

Mexican Rice II

YAY!! I have finally found the recipe I've been looking for. No more Mexican flavored Rice-A-Roni (sorry kido). This was so easy, cheap, and DELICIOUS! I added more cumin, i cant get enough of that spice, and used chicken bullion instead of broth (cheaper). Its a tad too salty so next time i will use garlic powder instead of garlic salt. I doubled it and Im so glad i did. This is going to make an excellent burrito filler for later this week.

Banana Banana Bread

I didn't have a problem with the bread being "gummy" because I made these into muffins, but I can see how a large loaf could easily have a weird texture. Flavor was good out of the oven, but you should wait a day before you eat it. It was MUCH MUCH better the next day!!

Fish Tacos

I give the beer batter 5+ stars. I've never made fish that way before and it came out great! I used Dover sole, which I don't think was a good idea because the fish was a little mushy. Great flavor and super crunchy though! The sauce...that I only give 2.5 stars. It was just ok, not even "good". I followed the recipe to a "T" so it wasn't something I did. I can see potential in it however. What I don't see is why so many people raved over it. Overall, this recipe was good, but needs some tweeking

My Crab Cakes

I have to say that the flavor was good, but not great. There were FAR too many crackers. I even used two cans of crab and one pouch (if you see them in the grocery store, get the pouch!!! its jumbo lump and tastes as close to fresh as you'll find). I would make these again, but next time i will half the amount of crackers. Like someone said, these were very good "cracker cakes".

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

The best cookie I've ever made! They turned out soft, chewy, and not overly sweet. I didn't have vanilla so I left that out and they still turned out DELICIOUS! Honestly, they taste better than the pillsbury fridge cookies.

Restaurant-Style Zuppa Toscana

I worked at Olive Garden for over 4 years so I know their Zuppa Toscana inside and out. This is the closest recipe I've found. I made this last night and it turned out great. I used hot italian sausage instead of smoked. I rememved it from its casing and cooked it on the stove, ground up. Thats how the soup is at the OG. I also used 4 cups of chicken stock instead of chick soup base because thats what i had on hand. If you add just a pinch or two of red pepper flakes you have yourself the exact soup from The Olive Garden, in my opion. Try it, you wont know the difference!!

Best Toffee Ever - Super Easy

This was not a good recipe for toffee. I made it twice and both times it seperated like crazy! It was almost as if a whole stick of butter, or maybe two, had to be poured off before I sprinkled the chocolate and nuts on top. I tried whisking the first time, and little stirring the second. Both times were awful. I will never use this recipe again.

Vanilla - Chocolate Powdered Sugar Frosting

Very easy, very sweet, not much flavor with the vanilla however. It wasnt greasy and it wasnt runny. It was fluffy and frosted the cupcakes beautifully. I think this is a good base recipe for other flavors. Will def use this recipe again :)

David's Yellow Cake

I am giving this 5 stars because it was so easy to make and with stuff that you would already have on hand...well, except for the cake flour. I didnt have any so i just took 2 tbs out of each cup. Baked up perfectly. The cake isnt overly sweet and hit the spot. It tastes NOTHING like cornbread, who knows what those people were doing. This was perfect for those who want to know exactly what theyre eating. Great recipe!!

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

This recipe was super easy and soooo good! I didnt change much except i used cream of chicken soup because thats what i had on hand. I didnt do what others suggested and use beef broth instead of water because i felt there was enough salt in the soups as is. I did season the meat before putting in the crock-pot. Cooked it for 4 hrs on med. and another 4 on slow. Came out wonderful! Great and easy recipe.

Asian Orange Chicken

Not nearly as good as Panda Express like someone had said. In fact, it tasted nothing like it. It wasnt bad, but i dont think i will be making it again. If i want real orange chicken i think i will just order out.
