Bierocks (German Meat Turnovers)
easy to make, though not authentic, when made with biscuit dough. actually made 9 bierocks out of the recipe rather than 6. very hearty and good to take for lunch!

Classic Macaroni Salad
Very easy to make and seems to taste better each following day. I made this for a housewarming party and it was a big hit. Cut the sugar by a third & added chopped red and yellow bell peppers. Fantastic! Not too sweet or sour. Will try it next time adding peas & possibly chopped ham.

Easy Homemade Chili
Easy quick basic chili recipe. I agree with previous reviewers that the recipe as written is pretty bland/ boring. To doctor it up, I followed others' suggestions and added a few of my own: 1) DO NOT add any extra water; 2) drain excess water from beans or other canned vegetables as necessary (I added canned sliced carrots and corn); 3) add as much seasoning to taste, including chili powder, chili flakes (I like a good amount of "kick"), ground black pepper, salt, and basil; 4) serve with sour cream, shredded sharp cheddar, guac, corn bread/ tortilla chips/ saltines. Also, I actually had to simmer mine for about 30 min, not 15. Even without adding any water, it was still way too thin for my tastes.
