The Best Ever Chicken Nuggets

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2009
Holy salt, batman! Phew, could 6 Tbsp garlic salt be right?!? I made the recipe as written, but I could use 1/4 of that much salty flavor. My kids loved it, so I guess I'll make it again......with less salt. Thanks for the recommendation for they honey mustard recipe from this site, it was an excellent dressing for these nuggets.

It was fine, but nothing special. Everyone ate a bowl, but the leftovers are still in my fridge.

5 stars for ease and speed, 3 stars for taste = 4 stars for a nice idea when you're short on time. I wouldn't serve these to company, but I'd make it for breakfast or snack for the kids. It took ALOT of powdered sugar to make it taste like anything but a fried biscuit. Still, they're all gone 10 minutes after I made them!

This was good! My kids liked it, my husband liked it, and I couldn't stop eating it! I mistakenly added the mustard in with the meat mixture, but it still turned out well. I've already gotten a second request for it.

Lemon Chicken Tenders

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2008
I was expecting a better flavor breading after reading the reviews. The taste must really be in the sauce, which I didn't make (I was feeding my kids, who like everything with ketchup). However, the chicken was nearly gone at the end of the meal, so I'm giving it 3 stars.

This recipe was great just as written! I'm not going to change anything about it. Yummy chicken, mild seasoning, I used plain ol' Pace salsa and it was delicious.

Spinach Crumb Casserole

Delicious!!! It was really yummy...sure didn't taste like vegetable. Everyone had seconds. I think it would be great even without the amount of butter called for - I think I'll just use 1-2 Tbsp next time.

My kids didn't care for the crust - the combination of butter and oreos is a bit unpleasant. I won't be making this again.

Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2007
I've never had brussel sprouts before, so I don't have anything to compare to. This recipe tasted like roasted bitter cabbage to me. My guess is that brussel sprouts just have that taste, because it's hard to mess up food just by roasting it. It looked nice, and smelled good, but my family did not like it.

Key Lime Pie VIII

Oh my, this was heavenly. I used regular limes, not key limes, and it was the perfect tartness. I made a graham cracker crumb crust to go with it. Was super easy and absolutely divine. Hope it lasts till tomorrow :-)

No Bake Chocolate Oat Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2007
I can't believe I'm the only one to dislike this recipe! It was bland, boring, and no one in my house would eat it. I like the idea of it, but the actual thing was disappointing. I cut back on the butter to 3/4 cup and added 1/4 milk to make up for the loss in liquid. It kept the oatmeal soft and stir-able. I guess I was expecting something more on the level of a Hello Dolly (aka 7 layer bar). I won't make it again. Also, even though it was "no bake", it still made plenty of mess on the stovetop and took 2 hours to cool down, so it wasn't any easier than oven bars.

Spiced Beef Stew

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2007
As usual, Corwynn's recipe was outstanding. You're an All-Recipes superstar, Corwynn - my favorite recipe submitter! (If you haven't tried Corwynn's other recipes, head straight to her list!) Delicious, hearty dish with a complex, savory flavor; must be the combination of the thyme and the beer. To mix it up a little, I added a packet of dry onion soup and used fresh veggies (sweet potato, carrots, and celery). Since I used sweet potatoes, I did not add the brown sugar. And as much as I love butter, I decided to cut back on the saturated fat by browning the meat in a few tablespoons of olive oil instead. These changes made the stew a little healthier but still tasted rich, even decadent. This was a hit with my family, even my picky 6 year old. This is definitely our new family stew recipe.

Tomato Garbanzo Soup with Rice

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2007
This was okay, but nothing more. I liked the thickness of it, almost like stew, but there was something missing in the flavor mixture. If I were to make it again (which I won't), I'd use much less crushed red pepper. It left an afterburn in my mouth that I still felt 30 minutes later.
