About this Cook
I am a single Mom that works full time, goes to school, and still makes time to cook for my daughter. I am busy, but love to make people feel at home, and I love to entertain.
My favorite things to cook
I love comfort foods, stews and soups. My favorite thing to cook is bread, there is nothing like the smell of fresh bread.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My Grandma's potato salad. My Aunt Nancy's Saurkraut Balls.
My cooking triumphs
I recently learned how to make creme brulee. This may sound strange but I do not usually follow recipies I use them more as sorda guidelines.
My cooking tragedies
My family and friends say that my greatest cooking tragedies are all the things I make up and fail to write the ingredients or amount down for.

Easy Garlic Ginger Chicken
I always try to make a recipe as written the first time around. Don't. As some of the other reviewers said. 4 limes is about 2 limes to many. It's edible, but my family hated it, some refused to eat it. I am trying to come up with a way to repurpose the sour chicken. I do have some extended family that would love this so to be fair I am giving it a 3.

Vietnamese Fresh Spring Rolls
I found it helpful to soak the mint if you are not picking it off your own plants. Fresh mint from the store is a little dry. I also threw in about a 1/2 tsp of rice wine vinegar into the rice it gives it a more authentic taste. These were fantastic, for me anyways.
