About this Cook
Cooking is very therapeutic for me. It's a time when I can think and be creative and relax.
My favorite things to cook
Italian Rosemary Roasted Chicken always comes out good and makes the house smell amazing. I like baking cookies, cakes and bread, too.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Making chocolate chip cookies with my mother and my sister. Of course, we always ate too much dough, but it was a great time for the three of us.
My cooking triumphs
I make a mean apple pie - it is the most requested recipe I have. I made a triple berry chocolate torte one time for a holiday luncheon that was pretty impressive, too.
My cooking tragedies
The Christmas Toffee Experiment. I'm very bad at candies.

Mardi Gras King Cake
Two cakes are done and look great. I added cream cheese to the filling mixture and eliminated the butter. I substituted dried cherries for the raisins. So yummy.

Glazed Apple Cookies
Mine came out a little too moist, but the flavor was great. Very different use for apples.

Great-Aunt Nina's Noodles and Chicken
It was a little bland, but a good base. I really enjoyed the homemade noodles, though.
