Pasties II
Delicious. I am so glad I decided to make my own dough! I followed the recommendations of others and added a few shakes of worcestershire sauce to the veggies and beef. I also placed the veggies first, then the beef on top, so the juices from the beef went into the veggies. Finally the best suggestion was to use the wax paper you are rolling out the dough with to help fold the top of the pasty over.

JELL-O(R) Double Chocolate Pie
This is a favorite in our house, although I do not follow it exactly. I use 2 packages of the sugar free, fat free chocolate pudding mix and 2 cups milk to make the filling, then stir in some whipped topping. I add it to the pie shell, and add whipped topping on top without pudding mix in it. Finally, I grate some dark chocolate over the top as a garnish :)

Homesteader Cornbread
I have made this twice, and this cornbread came out delicious! I soaked the cornmeal a bit longer than recommended, about 10-15 mins. I mixed for between 5 and 10 minutes. The first time I didn't soak or mix as long, and it came out a little too dense. The second time, with those changes, it came out PERFECT!
