About this Cook
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every New Year's Eve my family gets together and makes bunelos. My mom makes the flour tortilla dough, rolls out each ball of dough, fries them in oil and sprinkles them with sugar and cinnamon, delicioso! Also we usually make tamales for Christmas, yum! My mom makes the best home made flour tortillas ever!

Quinoa and Black Beans
Oh my goodness, this was delicious. I remember making quinoa a while back and not liking it. I heard it was healthy so I tried this recipe. Wow, loved it! I only used a little onion and 2 cloves garlic. I made my own broth by boiling left over chicken bones in water. The finished result is even better mixed with salsa and sour cream... yum!

Embutido
This recipe is delicious. My husband and I love it and he always asks for it. It's very good served with rice and vegetables or a salad.

Easy Yummy Chinese Chicken Salad
I made this recipe for me and my husband and we both loved it. I didn't add the onions or cilantro. I substituted the canned chicken for cooked and cubed skinless boneless chicken breast. I added some chow mein noodles and it was great!
