raised in a traditional mexican american family. we are very supported to each other but most of all our love of our family is very strong.

tortillas, homemade mexican food. favorite fijoles (pinto beans) and arroz ( rice).

tamales every christmas, bunelos new years day. bbq memorial day and 4th of July.

homemade bread, i am diabetic and have learned to make many sweet treats with splenda.
My cooking tragedies
still need help in making tamales. my mother still is the main cook to traditionl mexican food.

Pretty Chicken Marinade
This was a hit at our annual July cookout. Follow the recipe to the exact measurements. the chicken was moist and great tasting. This was the first time my chicken was so good and looked so pretty. try it you all you will love it.

Authentic Mexican Tortillas
This is the closest I have gotten to my mothers' tortillas. I just have to be careful with the amount of hot water. Try this and you may not go with the store bought tortillas again. :)
