Best Apple Pie
Thr recipe was very easy and straightforward. It comes out pretty darn sour with no sugar and that much lemon, like MASMAY said. I used about 1/4 cup of sugar with this recipe, and it was still sour. The lemon overpowered the taste of the apples, and you really rely on the apples for all of the sweetness in this pie. Although I did get some nice comments, nobody came back for seconds. The next time I use this recipe, I'll either cut the lemon in half and add 1/4 cup of sugar (or and equivelence of sugar substitute) or try JSONEAL's idea of 1Tbsp OJ instead of lemon juice.

Spicy Lentil Dip
I tried this recipe, and found it to be quite okay. I say this because I tried to do it in a rush, almost doubling the recipe, and eyeballing most of the measurments. All things considered, it was good! Next time, I'll be more careful in my measurements! My suggestions: Drain the water and hold it in reserve, that way you don't end up with spicy lentil soup - especially if you use canned lentils. I was going to give it 3 stars, but I'm going with 4, because I think it's growing on me! Well done, Noni!

J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits
This is an excellent recipe for 'quick and dirty' biscuts. My results were best when I let the dough sit for an hour or so before I cooked the biscuts. They can also sometimes be a bit dry...but that just means you get to use more butter, or gravy, or whatever!
