very tasty, very easy. left out broth and liquid from tomatoes (used drained 28 oz can instead). added a diced yellow pepper in with the onion. otherwise the same, and i didnt find it overwhelmingly spicy. i was hoping more of the coconut flavor would come through, but i was still very pleased with the result. and it was a piece of cake to put together.

well, this is a chicken recipe i wont make again. i found it came out like bad chinese food, tasting like pure soy sauce. even with low sodium soy sauce, it was still way salty. i broiled at the end instead of grilling, maybe grilling is absolutely needed. i wont find out though, theres too many other good recipes on this site. oh well.

this chicken is good, but its not spicy enough to really qualify it as blackened, for what blackened means to me. also, there is no need for as much oil as the recipe calls for, and no need to heat it for FIFTEEN minutes. that is dangerous, and i put the chicken on after ten minutes. i didnt realize how much smoke was filling my apartment, but the entire night after i kept coughing and couldnt take a deep breath. this recipe should come with a WARNING: have lots of ventilation and try not to breathe in all the smoke. i REALLY didnt appreciate not having the warning. the chicken is good, but it wasnt worth damaging my lungs for.
