Fruit Salad Dessert
AMAZING!! Made in a pinch after having a baby for a pot luck. It was easy to make with a three year old, a two year old and newborn (all rowdy boys!). But, delicious and completely faked everyone out. Did not find too sweet! This has become a staple here. And, my mom requested I bring it for Thanksgiving dinner. Your right Muriel, your mom was a gourmet!

Indian Tandoori Chicken
An absolutely authentic version of Indian Tandoori chicken. What I do is serve with grilled veggies (onions, peppers, and mushrooms with some grill seasoning is to die for). And, some rice - my husband`s favorite is saffron rice. Or, some Indian bread (naan or paratha). If you want to get really gourmet you could let the yougurt drain in some cheese cloth or a clean dish rag/towel. This makes for a very creamy yogurt - and is what home cooks in India use. PS: I prefer to finish with a mango lassi - super simple to make! ---- edit---- I also wanted to say you can find natural food coloring at the Indian grocers. Or, use some paprika.

Alla Checca
Just what I was looking for! I wanted something light to go with my orzo...like an orzo pasta salad. And, something simple. This is so good...needs time to macherate but I just can`t help digging my spoon it. Used basil from my garden and can`t wait until my tomatoes are ripe. This will be my standard summer pasta. YUMM!!
