Peanut Butter Bars I

Very good, but after cooling for 2 hours, they were still coming out of the pan kind of messy and I had to mash them together. I followed the recipe exactly, so I don't know what caused it. Still very delicious!

Almond-Crusted Tilapia

It is Ok. A lot of trouble and expense for it to be ok. We all ate it, even the picky eaters, but that's all anyone said was that it was OK.

Very good!! The whole family loved it. I did use Worchesire Sauce instead of the soy as we don't care for things very salty. This is a "keeper".

Tater Tot Hot Dish II

This was very easy and good. My husband, daughter and I all thought it was good. I didn't season the meat, and I used lower sodium soups. I also added cheese between the meat and tots. This will be added as an "occasional" recipe.

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2005
Very good!! I prepared it just as directed. I also sliced it with an electric knife, just because it is quicker. It was very tender. The dipping sauce was better than at restaurants as it wasn't too salty. Oh, we could not taste the beer, just really good sandwiches.

Great recipe! I took this over to a neighbor's for 4th of July. Everyone loved it! I do not recommend following the directions exactly.... you MUST double this recipe as it does not go too far. This made 6 small bowls, which went very quickly.

Old Fashioned Peach Cobbler

This was great! The crust is awesome. I made a small one for my husband and I. I used the crust as directed, then halved the rest of it, except the cornstarch. This turned out really good. Next time I will put in a little less sugar, as we like fruit desserts to be a little less sweet.

Jiffy Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2005
We didn't care for it at all this time. I will try it again another time with changes. This time, I took recommendations and substitutions. I sliced the potatoes. I cooked the onion (1 large) and hamburger together. I seasoned the meat with garlic powder. We don't like mushrooms, so I used one can of lower sodium cream of celery, and one can of cream of chicken, I mixed them together with one can of milk. I used one layer of potatoes, a layer of meat, 1/2 of the soup mixture, another layer of potatoes, another layer of meat, and another layer of potatoes, then the rest of the soup mixture. I covered with aluminum foil and cooked it for 1 hour. The potatoes were not done at all. We love onion, but there was too much. My husband picked out the meat and ate it. My daughter tried it and asked if she had to eat it. I ate it, but it was very bland and disappointing. If I try it again, I will boil the potatoes, use 1/2 the onion, and use one can of one of those Mexican flavored cheese soups with milk.
