Kris' Amazing Shredded Mexican Beef

Great flavor to this recipe. I used 4 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce and froze the rest of the can 3 peppers/bag for future use in this recipe. 4 peppers were a bit spicy for our taste. I took them out before I shredded the beef and stained the broth and put some of the broth back in with the shredded beef with a little water to lessen the spice. Served with lime/cilantro brown rice, black beans, corn, and sauteed onions on wheat tortillas.

No-Knead Artisan Style Bread

This bread is amazing. It is the famous NY Times No-Knead Bread. I didn't add the herbs. Worth the wait.

Original NESTLE® TOLL HOUSE® Dark Chocolate Chip Cookies

Good cookie. I don't usually make these cookies with butter because they spread too much. But, it was perfect, since I made them in a gingerbread cookie pan. Very rich and chewy. Yummo!

Old Fashioned Mac and Cheese

Turned out very good. I used some bacon fat as butter and bacon bits also. Used swiss, velvetta, and cream cheese. Grated parmesean on top with crushed ritz crackers and a pinch of smoked paprika. I also mixed in some imitation crab meat and baked in individual crocks. I hope this inspires you to tweak this recipe to your cupboard and likes.

Hoe Cake

This is something I have never tried before. This recipe tastes like a flatbread, but a little more dense. I think it would be good dipped in marinara. Sorry, I'm not southern! It cooked for a little over 20 minutes and I had to add extra milk because the batter was too thick. I used the bacon grease instead of shortening. Quick and Easy bread to serve as a side. Would probably work well cooking over a fire for a campout.

Pam's Summertime Sweet Burgers

Make sure not to over mix meat mixture. Was a little to sweet for my taste, reminds me a little of meatloaf. But, ok for something different. Pretty good if you're looking for something a little sweeter. A slice of bacon would be good on it to offset the sweetness.

Quinoa and Black Beans

This had very good flavor. My quinoa pkg. was marked pre-rinsed, but I soaked it for 10 minutes in the broth while I was sautéing the onions. The finished product was a little mushy. Next time I will not soak it. My family enjoyed it as a side dish and it was very healthy.
