Eggnog from Scratch
My guests raved about this egg nog! I used local, farm fresh eggs and milk. I did not bother separating the eggs: this left an occasional slimy bit in the nog, which could be prevented by beating the egg whites until stiff. I did halve the sugar and the spiced rum (Kracken brand) ~ perfect!

Spiced Wassail
This wassail was a nice balance of sweet and tangy. My alterations: I used a 100% juice blend for the cranberry juice and heated the wassail by simmering it all afternoon in the crockpot. It was well received by my guests, and I set a bottle of Jack Daniels out for spiking.

Homemade Vanilla Pudding
As another reviewer suggested, I combined all the dry ingredients and added the cold milk ~ No lumps! I also reduced the sugar by 1/3, and it was still plenty sweet.
