Bow Tie Pasta with Sausage and Sweet Peppers
Bow Tie Pasta with Sausage and Sweet Peppers
About this Cook
I'm a busy mom who used to easily get stuck in a rut when it came to cooking meals for my family. I love this site because when I want something quick and easy for dinner -- I can enter what I have onhand and come up with some great alternatives to spaghetti and tacos!
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook pasta and mexican food. I also love to find good recipes for to add a new flair for old standards like pork chops and chicken.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Each Christmas Eve night we make sticky bread and egg casserole for the next morning. It isn't the food that makes it such a great tradition, but the memory of us preparing them in anticipation of the next morning's fun.
My cooking triumphs
Anytime that I find a recipe that makes my family go "WOW!" But I think that my biggest triumph is when I made my first batch of enchiladas and it was deemed "better than our favorite Mexican restaurant!".
My cooking tragedies
Any kind of baked fish. For some reason, anytime I attempt to bake fish -- it comes out terrible. My husband has finally asked me to give up. If we want some good fish for dinner, we hit the road. ha ha

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili
This was pretty good, but I didn't think this was the best chili I'd ever had like so many other reviews. I'm not sure if it was the salsa (Tostitos) that I used or what, but it was almost sweet. I think I will stick with my old faithful, but this was a nice little variation.

Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream
You know you have cooked a good meal when you catch your 10 yr old daughter licking her plate before putting it in the sink. This dish was hands down one of my favorite recipes ever cooking from this site (and I am here constantly). I made it as is except I forgot to put the olive oil in the skillet and I used petite diced tomatoes. This is SUPER easy and SOOO good. Who needs to go to restaurants when we have as good of recipes as this to put out for your family??

Delicious Chicken Casserole
I must admit, when I had mixed everything together and was putting it in the pan to cook -- I did not think it was going to be good. It was way too soupy, and I was already trying to think of an alternate dinner plan. However, the dish surprised me. It was quite tasty. I made it as stated but without the celery.
