This post is really about the Mom's Buttermilk Pancake Recipe. Really. My daughter Kiersten loves the Buttermilk Pancake recipe I grew up with... passed down from my mother's mother, the first generation here in the U.S. from Norway. She is actually the one that posted the recipe and wrote the post, cute huh. She added the berry syrup to make her dad happy, but I grew up eating them with maple syrup. Not sure why a few people find them too salty, never had this issue before, but maybe in the old days :) they added more salt than they do today. I never modify the recipe. To me it is perfect as is and if followed precisely, they should turn out exactly as they should.
