I am married and have two stepsons. My job is in customer support and I have a background in agriculture. I really love to cook and bake and enjoy trying new recipes. My favorite place to be in nice weather is out in my yard or garden. In not so nice weather I can often be found renovating my house. I love to bake although I don't do it as much as I have in the past. I recently got hooked on making home-made soups. Lasagna is a big tradition in my family. We have it every Christmas. The maple roast turkey and cranberry stuffing from this website has become a family tradition very quickly at Thanksgiving. I love finding new ways to make home-made meals easily without using a lot of processed ingredients. A crockpot is my favorite tool to regularly cook up meals or ingredients ahead of time while I'm busy or working. I once forgot to put sugar in the pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving dinner. That year we were thankful for many things, one of them being Cool Whip. But the worst had to be the time I mistook a Rubbermade container of baking soda for powdered sugar when making buckeyes. I taste test mysterious containers of baking supplies now.
