Pecan Pie V
Perfect pecan pie! YUMM!!!!! I haven't made a pecan pie in probably 15 years because the corn syrup pies never work for me. This one turned out perfect! I added about 1/4 cup more pecans and used whole pecan halves, not pieces, and baked it at 400 degrees for 10 minutes and then 300 degrees for 40 minutes. Turned out perfect!

Grandma's Corn Bread Dressing
This is similar to the recipe my mother handed down to me but I add some sugar because we like it sweet.

Six Can Chicken Tortilla Soup
Great starter recipie. For mine, I use 1 can of cream of chicken soup, 1 can of chicken broth, 1 frozen chicken breast, 1 can of whole kernel corn drained, 1 can of black beans drained and rinsed, 1 can of Rotel drained, 1 tablespoon of chili powder, and 1 teaspoon of Cumin. Put all ingredients in a crock pot on low, give it a stir and 8 hours later.. delicious soup. I serve it with tortilla chips, sour cream, and shredded cheddar cheese. There are NEVER any left overs!
