Jim's Pork Chorizo

Was just ok in my opinion! Local butcher makes a much better sausage. To much vinegar and chili powder ( never heard of those additions before ). I will stick to the traditional chorizo.

Roast Beef with Coffee

I used this recipe for a venison roast I had and it turned out great. I did add 3 more cloves of garlic ( I love garlic )!

Hoagie Bake

Was good but missing something. I added chopped jalepenos,minced garlic, olive oil, and oregano the second time I made it and it was better. The next time I made it I added cooked sausage and it got even better. Will make again with my changes.

Amish Meatloaf

Very Good! Only changes I made were to add 2 cloves of garlic minced ( my family loves garlic ) and used BBQ sauce instead of Ketchup. I will use this recipe again often!

Screaming Potatoes

In historical circles we call these "stoved potatoes, or stovies". They are indeed a treat and go well with any meat recipe. They can be "kicked up" for serving with beef by adding a tablespoon of horseradish to the cooking pot. Adding grated onion also adds a kick. Great treat for those who love potatoes.

Beef and Pepper Pie

I made this following the recipe once, then made some changes... I used fresh Morels for the mushrooms, fresh peppers ( sauted ), more cheese ( mixture of blue and cheddar), and added 2 tbls of dry sherry to the filling. Will make again!

Buffalo Shrimp

Deer Meat

You never said what cut of meat ( ground, cubed, or roast ) !!! I suggest that if it is not ground you remove all traces of fat!!! It will improve the flavor. I was not impressed with this recipe...left something to be desired.

Hunter Style Chicken

OK taste but nothing to write home about. Flavor is standard for this type of dish. More garlic could improve it as well as maybe a marinade in the wine before hand. Over all an OK dish, not something I will make again soon.

Pot Roast in Beer

Meat was moist and had good flavor, but it was not out of the ordinary in flavor...sorry but it tasted like a typical roast found at any "good" eatery! It was easy to prepare and everyone ate it all, I will make it again for it's simplicity but it is not one of my favorites.
