About this Cook
Just your average southern, working Mama who likes to create treats for the fam with a healthy twist. I'm known for sneaking whole grains and an extra vegetable into nearly every dish.
My favorite things to cook
Anything in the slow cooker (no working woman should be without it!), my Granny's recipes from when I was a kid, Tex-Mex dishes and, most recently, desserts.

Blueberry Crisp II
Perfection! I made it for brunch, and - as I was hoping - it turned out to be not too sweet, and had just the right amount of tart. I used frozen blueberries, but only had 2 cups on hand, so I added 2 cups of frozen cherries. I do think this would be a great recipe with almost any kind of fruit you'd like to use.

Cheddar Bacon Hamburgers
I gave 4 stars for the flavor, but took off a star because the burgers fell apart on the grill. I've never had that happen before, so I have to assume it has to do with the ingredients. I'll probably try again and add an egg as a binder.
