About this Cook
Full time Mom and a full time nurse (though I'm lucky, I work 3 12-hour shifts a week in a Pediatric Emergency room.) I'm a graduate of Rutger's College and I'm currently attending Seton Hall University for my Master's in Nursing.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake and I love cooking with fresh, home grown vegetables & herbs from my garden.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My Mom is my biggest inspiration. I love Thanksgiving dinner at her house, she makes the best turkey (never dry) and the greatest gravy. We always joke that her tombstone will say she was the best gravy maker...lol.
My cooking triumphs
I consider every great recipe I discover a cooking triumph.
My cooking tragedies
Too many to list!! I've been cooking since I was 12 and I can't count the amount of times that I have thrown an entire meal out. Lately my biggest problem is burning things when I have them under the broiler.

Pretzel Turtles
Here is another 5 star review for this fantastic recipe. I used a number of the reviews recommendations: square pretzels, Dove chocolates filled with caramel, toasted the pecans after tossing them in a little butter. I also drizzled a little semi-sweet chocolate on top for a beautiful finishing touch. My husband took these to a New Year's Eve party and even though there was too much food and tons of left overs, every one of these babies got eaten!! There are the perfect bite size treat.....sweet, salty, chocolate....perfection! Thanks for a great and easy recipe!

Apple Crumb Bars
I would have given these a 3 but my husbands co-workers loved them so I bumped them up to a 4. I definitely agree with the other reviewers....these need cinnamon! Also, they would have been better if I had tossed the apples with the water/sugar then just poured off. All and all, it was a good recipe, just not fantastic.

Sesame Parmesan Zucchini
The flavor was good but these were mushy and had a horrible texture. The cooking time is way off. Would not make again.
