I am 48 years old, living in Florida and miss my family because they are all still in Ohio. I like baking things, such as casseroles, but my favorites are cakes and desserts. My favorite family traditions are meat, potatoes and a vegetable with a yummy dessert to top it off. I would have to say my biggest triumph is making gravy. It no longer has lumps in it. My cooking tragedy is lumpy gravy. That is, unless you count my birthday cake when I was about 11 or 12. I asked my mom what to do with the white part of the egg (talking about the shell). She thought I was talking about the egg whites and told me to put them in the cake. Well, needless to say the cake was a bit crunchy and nobody would eat it. I still get teased by my family about it.
