Doggie Biscuits I

These are excellent dog treats with some adjustment - as previous reviewers noted, decrease the water to 1/2 cup. When I also thought they turned out way too greasy with 1/2 cup of oil, so second time I baked them, I decreased the oil to 1/2 cup, and the treats turned out perfect. Two paws up!

Raspberry Lemon Muffins

Very good recipe. The consistency was more like a cookie dough than muffins, but after mixing in the fresh raspberries, it became a little more manageable. The end result was pretty tasty. I wouldn't leave out the lemon extract if you like lemon flavor.

Raspberry Chocolate Chip Muffins

Very good recipe. I used 2/3 C whole wheat and 1 cup unbleached regular flour,reduced the sugar to 1/2 cup, increased raspberries to 1 cup. Made the house smell wonderful! Will definitely make it again!

Banana Blueberry Muffins

Very good recipe. I made some modifications - used half whole wheat and and half unbleached white flour, added 3 tbsp butter, and used 1 1/2 cup fresh blueberries. I think it could have used a little more sugar.

Moroccan Couscous

Very good recipe. Next time I would decrease the broth and couscous to 1 cup each, though - i thought there was a little too much of the couscous compared to the veggies.

Blueberry Cheesecake

Very good cheesecake recipe. I baked it in a 7x11 dish, used only three eggs, and decorated it with blueberries and strawberries for a 4th of July theme. Definitely would make it again!

Cardamom Cookies

These cookies are excellent! Based on prior reviews, i doubled the cardamom, adn added more cinnamon. Also, instead of lemon, i used orange peel, and insted of milk, orange juice. I rolled the dough in a log, put it in the fridge for an hour, then sliced the cookies, and baked at 375 degrees for 8 minutes, and they came out pefect!

These cookies are OK - the recipe is off, though. I had to add more flour - about 1/4 cup. I love coffee taste, but i would reduce the coffee to 1 tbsp.

Dipped Coconut Shortbread

These were just OK. First, the dough did not want to come together. Then I realized i had to kneed it by hand for the butter in it to melt. Then I put it in the fridge to make it easier to handle - big mistake. It got really hard and even more difficult to handle. The final result just tasted OK. i don't think I'll make these again.

Very easy, quick, tasty cookies. I agree with a previous note - the cookies do need to bake for about 13 minutes. it makes about 3 dozen cookies. I will definitely make these again!

Greek Butter Cookies

Good recipe. It is very simple, doesn't need a lot of ingredients. I definitely wouldn't bake it on 400 degrees again - the bottom of the cookies were too brown and the cookies were too dry. Try 350, for probably 13-14 minutes. Otherwise, the cookies are tasty, if simple - they actually taste better a day or two later.

Sugared Black Raspberry Tea Cookies

Good cookies - best eaten within a day. I substituted 1/2 teaspoon almond and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract for the 1 teaspoon vanilla, and didn't roll the cookies in the extra sugar. Use good quality jelly - it makes a difference!

Torrejon Oatmeal Bread

I have been baking bread for a long time, and this is definitely at the top of my favorite list. I made it twice this weekend - first by hand, following the recipe (although i had to add 1/2 cup of additional water to the dough), then i tried it making with the bread machine on dough cycle and baking it in the oven. When i make it in the breadmachine in the future, i won't pre-cook the oatmel - it becomes a big "lump", and is hard for the machine to handle. Also, i reduced the brown sugar to 1 tbsp, substituted 1 cup of whole wheat for bread flour, and 1/4 cup of wheat gluten for bread flour. Very tasty bread - I didn't think it was dense. I would highly recommend it!

Good recipe. I added a teaspoon of orange extract, and it still didn't taste too orange-y. Also, i added a bag of dark choc chips instead of dipping the cookies in white chocolate.

Chocolate Raspberry Cookies

Very soft, moist tasty cookies. I used Splenda instead of sugar, and topped the cookes with low-sugar raspberry jelly as suggested before for added raspberry flavor.
