I grew up with parents who loved to cook. They watched Julia Child on PBS and I never realized the impact it would have on me. My older sisters and my younger ones all have a deep love for the art of cooking which binds us together and ties us with our childhood. My sisters children have all carried on the tradition of homecooked food. Cooking is a way of expressing my love for those who eat and for the beautiful bounty of the earth. I love it all. I love holidays with all the fuss over the table and the food serving as the star attraction. I love everyone sitting around the table and talking. The prime rib. It is sooooo expensive which makes me really nervous yet always comes out great. Using leftover turkey and stuffing. I mixed it all up poured some cream of something soup plus some other stuff and it was a mess, really gross. Christmas candy is alway a mess for me, never mix your baked goods with soap gifts.
