A very good basic recipe. I especially like the fact that you can make it with stuff that's always on hand. I did make some modifications the second time I tried this, with very good results; as suggested by a lot of reviewers, I substituted dark brown sugar for the white in the topping. I also added 1 chopped granny smith apple, since the first time around this came out a bit dry, and I increased the cinnamon to 1 tablespoon, and added a teaspoon of allspice. It was way more moist and flavorful the second time around.
