Slow Cooker Teriyaki Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2012
Excellent and EASY! I did 1.5 times the sauce for my recipe and increased the garlic. I also used crushed red peppers vs fresh red chili peppers. Served over jasmine rice. Wonderful!

Marinated Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2011
Superb! My husband hates when I make pork because he feels that no matter what recipe I make, the meat is too tough. He scoffed tonight as well when I told him what I was making. Then proceed to have 3 helpings!! He even asked for tomorrows leftovers. Did this one totally in the oven and used the marinade (heated) to serve over the pork. 5 and 7 year old loved as well! Wonderful recipe!

Greek Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2011
Wonderful! I seasoned the chicken with salt and pepper and used a 4 oz jar of marinated artichokes with a 14 oz can of non-marinated artichokes. I increased the garlic and added way more fresh tomatoes and some kalamata's. Wonderful! Served over whole wheat rotini.

Pesto

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2011
Awesome! Perfect! I even realized I was out of pine nuts after everything was in my food processor and subbed in while salted almonds in place of them. Still perfect! Was planning to use up a lot of basil by making this and freezing for futures use, however, this turned out so awesome that I revised dinner plans tonight to find a recipe that called for pesto. Best I've made yet.

Chicken with Mushrooms, Prosciutto, and Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2011
Absolutely SUPERB! My husband dubbed this my best chicken dish EVER, which is saying a great deal. My 4 and 6 year olds were begging for seconds This meal was a hit!! I increased the garlic and used boneless/skinless chicken thighs. I put the mushrooms under the chicken as per others' recommendations. It was a great idea! This will go down in a short list of chicken recipes that we can't live without!! Thank you for this wonderful recipe!

Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2011
The flavor of this was stinking fabulous! I used dried ginger and used sriracha sauce. I also doubled the garlic. I sauteed the chicken (which I tossed with flour) in one pan and thickened the sauce in a separate pan. I then combined it all together and served over rice. I served this with lemon roasted broccoli. Fabulous!

Pork Chops for the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2011
We weren't fans of this. The pork, on low, was dried out after only 3 hours. They were thick boneless chops. I won't rate this any lower because I never ended up serving this with the sauce. Due to the dryness after 3 hours, I opted to dice the meat up, toss the sauce and will be using it up in soup to add some moisture back to it. I opted to change the dinner plans to something else instead.

Best Marinara Sauce Yet

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2011
My favorite marinara sauce yet! I definitely increased the garlic to about 6 cloves for a double batch. I used italian seasoning and some garli garni seasoning as well. I used crushed tomatoes rather than stewed and sautee'd the garlic with the onion while adding some crushed red peppers. My go to marinara for sure!

Garlic Shrimp Spaghetti

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2011
While this had good flavor...the texture to me was not good. I don't like the cornstarch addition to this. I questioned it as I added it and rightfully so. It was super thick...goopy in a way. I even added extra water to try to lighten the thickness up...but to no avail. Don't get me wrong...the flavor was good. But I would not add the cornstarch IF I make this again. Thank you for posting.

Pasta e Fagioli a la Chez Ivano

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2010
Definitely 5 stars! I did the crockpot method for this. I browned drained the beef (used very lean beef and 1/2 ground turkey for the meat) and added to the crockpot. I then sautee'd the veggies and added that. I used a 6 quart crockpot and could only fit in about 96 ounces of beef stock. I added about 10 cloves of garlic and added some garlic powder and crushed red pepper to the seasonings. I cooked the pasta separately and added to the individual bowls for serving. My kids and I LOVED it! My kids are 4 and 6 and both cleaned their bowls. I also added 8 ounces of fresh mushrooms to the last 3-4 hours of cooking time. Will definitely make again.

DEFINITELY 5 STARS!!!! I've made MANY chicken marsala recipes and this was the only one my husband and I both loved!! I doubled the shrooms and doubled the marsala. Added 6 cloves of minced garlic while sauteing the mushrooms and served over angel hair pasta with a side of roasted zucchini. Fabulous!

Absolutely Fabulous Greek/House Dressing

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2010
Absolutely loved this. I scaled this down to 10 and used equal parts red wine vinegar and EVOO. I would quite possibly make a higher ratio of red wine vinegar to EVOO next time to see if that's even better. All spices I increased to 1.5 times their stated measurements for the scale down. LOVED THIS! I served this over a greek veggie salad which consisted of chunk cucumbers, chunk red onion, chunk tomatoes, garbanzo's and kalamata's. I was planning to add artichokes too but ran out and will absolutely add them next time. This salad was PERFECT with this dressing!

Best Ever Crab Cakes

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2010
These are THE BEST!!! These were so incredible! I used reduced fat Ritz (all I had) and doubled this recipe. I used both Tarragon and some Old Bay. I also increased the crushed red pepper. I baked these in my convection oven for about 8 minutes per side. Served these up with fresh squeezed lemon and some Tabasco and we were in HEAVEN! The best crab cakes I've made. A must try!
