About this Cook
Home Educating mother of 11. I enjoy cooking for a crowd, my own or guests. Active in my local church. I enjoy the challenge of stretching my food dollar.
My favorite things to cook
One dish meals, cook once-eat twice, freezer cooking, and family favorite casseroles.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My Grandmother's rolls are a holiday tradition. The recipe is from her college sorority's cookbook published in the early 30's.
My cooking triumphs
I have learned to fry eggs like an expert for my dear husband who wants them EVERY morning. I also make a mean & quick omelet. I have also managed to learn to cook quite frugally.
My cooking tragedies
Failing to plan ahead is my biggest pitfall. I MUST have a menu for the week or I'm in deep yogurt!

Cranberry Sauce II
This turned out great! I made the recipe for 12 servings and added some orange zest, a tablespoon frozen orange juice concentrate, and a dash of cinnamon . After a quick whirl in the food processor, I poured the batch into a gelatin mold. Great flavors & consistency!

Kentucky Biscuits
Serve this one all the time. Can be doubled. Can be mixed in food processor. Not on a diet? Double the butter... sinful!
