About this Cook
Began cooking at age 10 to earn a Girl Scout badge - my first dish was lasagna! Cooking is my "therapy" - just wish I had more time to do it!!! I'm also an avid VOLLEYBALL fan & player!
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook vegetables and pasta. I am always experimenting with different methods to cook with pasta, veggies, sauces & spices. Also love to cook casseroles, and bake all types desserts!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Making fudge, cookies, etc. for holiday gift-giving. My mom would always use home-made broth for many dishes. I continue to do the same. It DOES make a difference!
My cooking triumphs
Lasagna - my sauce cooks all day before I prepare the dish! I've mastered this one! Red Velvet Cake (from scratch!) with home-made icing. Prepared a meal for 175 people - not one dish was over/under cooked, salad stayed fresh, it was like "magic"!!
My cooking tragedies
Forgot about water boiling in a pan once! Have burnt a roast or two. Cooked Chinese Cashew Chicken with Peanut Sauce once - not even the dog would eat it!

Artichoke Chicken
I was out of mayonnaise and no time to run to store so I substituted low-fat cream of chicken soup and it was fabulous! Next time I will substitute low-fat cream of mushroom soup.
