Chocolate Trifle

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2009
Made half the recipe by using an 8*8 brownie mix and making the pudding according to the box. It filled 6 individual trifle dishes. Topped each dish with a cherry... a great presentation for Daddy's birthday.

Crispy Edamame

Easy! Although this 'dish' does not look so appetizing when it is served, it is a great nibbling snack for those who are looking for a low carb alternative to popcorn and chips.

Sun-dried Tomato, Feta and Pine Nut Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2009
Made this for the first time this past Saturday. It was wonderful and also a very pretty salad. It got great reviews from the adults in the crowd. We have a family pizza night once a month with friends and although the pizza is a great thing and the kids gobble it up, I am always looking for new and different salads to serve that will wow the adults.

Potato Casserole

Awesome! I've been making this recipe for years and lost my paper copy of recipe, so I had to find one on AllRecipes. Most of the time I do not add the crunchy topping.

The Best Slow Cooker Cream Corn

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2009
This is awesome, plus easy. It gets great raves from everyone. It makes a TON so it's great to take to large family gatherings (or funeral dinners). I usually leave out the sugar... corn is sweet by itself.

My Amish Friend's Caramel Corn

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2009
I've been making caramel corn for years, but the last time we moved my recipes were misplaced... so I had to use AllRecipes to find what I wanted. And this is GREAT! Tip: I use brown paper grocery bags to pour and mix the caramel onto the popped corn (clean up is use - just throw the bag away!).

Chocolate Orange Fondue

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2009
This was AWESOME! And EASY! I did not have orange liqueur, but used orange extract that I had on hand. I cooked it on the stove and then transfered it to the fondue pot for dipping.

Overnight Blueberry French Toast

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2009
I made this for my daughter's birthday brunch (with my extended family) and it was great and got lots of rave reviews. I used blueberry bagels and spread the cream cheese on the bagels before cutting them into pieces (a bit messy but good in the end). It soaked over night. I will make it again!!!

Sausage Gravy III

Fantastic! This is VERY easy and turns out great. I double the recipe for big family brunch gatherings (15-20 guests). I make it one batch at a time in a pan on the stove and when it's at the thickness I like, I pour it into the crockpot on the WARM setting. Then make the second batch and add it to the crockpot.

Five Minute Ice Cream

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2009
I wish I would have found and tried this recipe BEFORE I bought an 80$ icecream maker. THIS recipe is great! We've made strawberry, blueberry, and peach icecream... each time it's great! And the best part is: we use Splenda instead of sugar and it's GREAT!!!

Cheese Fondue

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2009
This was my first time making a fondue. Following a few of the suggestions mentioned by other reviewers, I shredded the cheese and tossed with the flour before adding it to the pot. Other than that, I followed the recipe as stated. It was GREAT. It was served to guests and it got lots of oooh's and aaah's!

Banana Coconut Loaf

This was awesome and I will definitely make it again. I did not have walnuts on hand so I used pecans. I might try macadamia nuts next time - especially if I plan on serving the bread to guests (not sure if my family is worth of macadamia nuts – ha!).

Blueberry Cream Cheese Pound Cake II

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2008
I first made this recipe in Jan 07 and served it to 15 women at a scrapbook party... it was a HUGE hit. Since then I have made it at least 8 times, it is the dessert of choice when we have company. My young daughter calls it "The Purple Cake" and enjoys helping to drizzle the glaze. I followed the recipe exactly.

Orange Coconut Crescents

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2008
These were great. I made them for Christmas morning and my husband and daughter loved them (I did too). Usually we have guests on Christmas and other holidays and I make cinnamon rolls or orange rolls (from scratch - I mean the way my grandma use to make them - starting with yeast!). But this year since it was just the 3 of us, I wanted something that took less time... and these were the ticket! I was a little leery about the sour cream in the topping mix, but that was great too! I will make these again!

Chicken Papadoris

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2002
This dish was FANTASTIC! Both my husband and I loved it. I made the dish exactly according to the recipe and served it over steamed rice! My husband could not stop talking about how good it was. He asked that I make it every Monday. The leftovers were just as good a couple of days later. Pine nut are kind of expensive at my grocery store... I'll have to shop around.
