About this Cook
I love the outdoors, I live on a farm, used to raise sheep have two llama's as pets along with 3 dogs, 2 cats and chickens, I look at the mountains out my kitchen window, I live on 35 acres
My favorite things to cook
I like Meat and Potatoes recipes, I work so I like recipes with few ingredients and quick. Although on the weekends I could spend an hour building a real complicated recipe
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, my mother was not an enthusiastic cook, so I learned alot on my own, therefore not alot of family traditions
My cooking triumphs
Baby Back ribs, Prime rib, deep fried turkey and Sandy's Summer Sausage
My cooking tragedies
Pies of any sort or anything that needs a crust, breads from scratch are a disaster, thats why I own a BreadMaker

Turkey Brine
This was wonderful, I did do something most people don't. I cooked the bird on the grill (in a heavy duty foil pan) Upside down (the legs and breast on the bottom) This brings all the juices to the breast and legs. The breast meat just fell apart when I carved it, the flavor was wonderful.

Baked Parmesan Perch
Wanted to do something different with my perch. This recipe was simple and delicious, plus I had everything it called for on hand, I did add some Lemon Pepper as others suggested, it was wonderful
