I am a happily married mother of 3 biological children and 3 stepchildren with my husband Dan. We live in Florida with my youngest daughter Nicole and our dog Ty Malone. The other children all live up in Ohio. I am a registered nurse and my husband is in information technology. We love kayaking, fishing, cooking and computing. I have three grandsons by my first daughter and my husband is going to be a grandfather for the first time in March. My mother lives here in Florida also. Our meals have become much smaller since there is only the three of us. My greatest problem is downsizing my cooking. I am the oldest of 5 children and used to a large family at the table. I never got over the "overcooking" thing. Anything new and yummy. I love to bake, as well as cook. I am a southern cook at heart. My grandmother made the BEST Christmas cookies in the world. we have passed her recipe down to my daughter, who makes these for all the holidays. The cookie batter is a buttermilk sugar cookie recipe that you roll and cut out. Lots of them. Especially baking pies. I like to forget them and chock them up to experience that has made me the cook I am today.
