Spicy Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2008
This is an excellent recipe, and I've made it several times with a few changes depending on the crowd. First off, I use fresh ground turkey, add a chopped bell pepper, a can of rotel, and a couple of tbs of sugar - ALWAYS. For my spicier friends, I substitute half the kidney beans with hot chili beans (this is my favorite way to have it). For those who prefer a milder chili, I leave out the chopped chilies, and use the mild chili beans. Regardless of the crowd, this chili always gets rave reviews!

Best Ever Party Appetizer

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2008
This really was fabulous, and I was sooo glad that some was left over because it got even better later. I love garlic, so instead of using and them removing the cloves of garlic, I just minced two cloves and mixed it with my olive oil before drizzling over the goat cheese.

McCormick's Delicious Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2006
Great basic deviled egg recipe. I especially like this one because I needed to make these without relish (family member who doesn't like pickles). I usually find the ones without relish to be rather bland, but these still had a very good flavor. On a side note, I used a little extra mustard.

Classic Creamy Cheesecake

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2006
This was decent, but I was not extremely impressed. I think that the recipe would have done better witout the lime juice and maybe vanilla extract or something. It was just rather bland, and since it wasn't rich it just didn't have a whole lot going for it. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't what I was hoping for.

Daddy Charles's Spooley

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2004
I followed the recipe exactly, and it was fabulous. It was a "girls night", so we didn't care about getting "spooley". I think that the idea of an extra bottle of soda would be a good idea for more tame crowd.
