Ham And Cheese Frittata

Perfect frittata recipe! Followed it exactly and it turned out great. I could definitely see mixing up the ingredients and adding different veggies meats, like spinach or bacon.

Creamy Kielbasa and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2009
Fantastic! I made the recipe as written, other than using a full pound of kielbasa and adding a cup or so of frozen corn. Also delicious topped with cheddar cheese and/or sour cream. Served it with french bread. Will make again! I think next time I'll also add some chopped red peppers.

Roasted Garlic Cauliflower

An excellent way to make cauliflower that doesn't involve a sauce of any kind. The flavor of the roasted garlic and cauliflower is delicious.

Quick and Easy Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2009
Very good! I added a can of diced tomatoes, used frozen corn, and used chicken broth instead of water. Great to be able to make chili without chopping veggies!

Tomato Cakes

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2009
Excellent! I added a little italian seasoning and a handful of parmesan cheese. I used a little butter and olive oil to fry them and a non-stick pan and had no problems with them sticking. served them alongside a fritatta for lunch. Definitely plan to make these again and again!

Tuna Piccata Pasta Salad

Reviewed: May 19, 2009
Followed the directions exactly and it turned out delicious! I've only tried it warm so far, but will have it cold for lunch tomorrow. I'm sure it will be just as tasty, if not better. A winner for tuna lovers!!

Spicy Flat Iron Steak Rub

Reviewed: May 19, 2009
Good rub, if and only if you like the flavor of chili powder. It was a little to chili tasting for me, but the spice level was nice and I liked the sweetness of the brown sugar. Overall, it was good.

Meatballs and Sauce

Really good! I didn't marinate the meatballs overnight (and I used turkey italian meatballs) but they still were very tasty. Served them over egg noodles.

Hearty Halibut Chowder

Delicious! I followed the recipe, other than using tilapia instead of halibut (much cheaper!). It is a great chowder!

Tender 'n' Tangy Ribs

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2009
I made this based on the high rating but didn't know most people rated it after DECREASING the amount of vinegar. I made the recipe as it is stated and almost all you can taste is the overwhelming flavor of vinegar. I never rate things this poorly, but this is practically ruining dinner. I've tried to remedy it with a bottle of prepared sauce, but it won't be able to remove the vinegar from the meat.

Easy and Quick Swiss Steak

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2009
Very good! I used much less peppers and onions than called for, and added some seasonings that I use in my usual swiss steak (dijon mustard, red wine vinegar, bay leaf), but the base recipe is great. Very tender and tasty!

What a nice change from the usual ground beef stuffed peppers! Even my husband enjoyed them, and he doesn't like anything vegetarian. Nice and healthy, too!

Warm Heart Stew

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2009
It may sound like a strange recipe, but the broth turns out so flavorful! I used smoked sausage because I don't care for brats, and both times I used different a different combination of beans. Black-eyed peas, kidney beans and pinto beans are my favorite combination. This is going to be a staple in the colder months!

Tomato Bisque III

Delicious! I didn't have fire roasted tomatoes, so I used one can of regular diced and one can of rotel and turned it into a spicy tomato bisque. I used evap. milk instead of the cream. Yum!

This makes perfectly crispy baked tilapia! I did add extra seasonings to the breading, but that's up to your taste. Would make great, healthy fish sandwiches!

Tomato Pie II

Awesome and incredibly easy! I used canned, whole tomatoes (2 28oz. cans) and drained them very well. I topped the tomatoes with a layer of fresh spinach before I put on the cheese mixture. I can't wait to try it with fresh tomatoes. It would be very impressive at a brunch!

I thought this was great! My husband also enjoyed it. I skipped the green beans, but otherwise followed the recipe. Served it over some European mix lettuce dressed with a little lemon juice and olive oil and added some hard boiled egg to the plate. Very healthy and tasty!

Garlic Butter Shrimp

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2009
Delicious and sooo easy! I used cooked shrimp since that's all I had. I just cooked the garlic in the butter first and threw in the shrimp to warm them through before adding the lemon juice. Served with broiled parmesan tomatoes and a baked potato, and bread to soak up the sauce. Yummy!!!

Chocolate Pecan Sandies

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2009
These are what they are, chocolate pecan SANDIES! I guess I'm not that much of a sandy textured cookie, but they are easy to make and are exactly what they advertise. A chocolatey, pecan-filled, dryish cookie. Tasty, but not a favorite in my house. For those of you who like sandy cookies, a winner!
