Cooking influence was grandmothers and aunts and growing up of German descent in central Iowa. Christmas cookies, Quick Breads I like variety and want to try more new things, but the people around me want only the old tried and tru. While learning to cook, I once made a rhubarb pie without sugar. My dad still teases me 40 years later.
