My cooking triumphs
Matt & Patti's Caesar Italian Pasta Salad that my husband and I invented a few years ago. It tastes great and everyone seems to request the recipe. BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger Dip that I came up with as an alternative to the traditional 7 layer mexican flavor dip. Yummy and hearty!
My cooking tragedies
Dad and I made these traditional Italian ricotta cheese cookies and did it with way to much flour and they came out like hockey pucks!

Storybook Gingerbread Men
Did not work for me at all. Dough did not have enough moisture to form into a ball after mixing. I stopped adding flour after 3 cups cause the dough was starting to become to tough for my KitchenAid mixer. Even after chilling dough it was not able to be rolled, just crumbly. Dough taste was not what I was looking for either.

Butter Icing for Cookies
Great tasting icing and very easy to modify: can add more powdered sugar to make thicker or more cream to thin. I made one batch thinner to frost shapes, one batch thicker to pipe thru pastry bag for details. Icing took about 1 hour to dry enough to be stackable (a little longer for the parts where I piped it on pretty thick). Piped icing held its shape very well, and sure tastes better than royal icing! Thanks Barbara.

Rolled White Cookies
As written, the dough was way to sticky to roll into anything and I had to add more flour. The dough has to be VERY cold before even thinking of rolling out. Once baked cookies are cake-like and puff up a LOT.
