Mama's Ambrosia
My Mama made this too while I was growing up. I leave out the walnuts but cut up marachino cherries for color to offset the orange and yellow. I have found that making it the night before allows the flavors to meld better than making it and serving it the same day. Everyone that has ever eaten it has no clue the dressing is sour cream, and they all want the recipe.
