About this Cook
I'm certified to train both dogs and children. I can cook in a kitchen as well as over an open fire and I love to garden and do crafts.
My favorite things to cook
Chicken lomein, fahitas, soups, chicken teryiaki, muffins, pancakes and breads.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every holiday we make olive salad and I crack and cure my own green olives. We also make Easter Pizza for Easter and Christmas is time for the Italian Biscotti cookies and Pizelles! Mmmmm!
My cooking triumphs
Making chicken teryiaki without a recipe
My cooking tragedies
Accidentally using salt instead of sugar in a peanut butter pie.

Cordon Bleu Chicken Rolls
I changed it and liked my version better. I spread each chicken breast, after pounding with brown mustard. After rolling, I used the butter-flour-egg-crumbs method to bread them and I used Panko bread crumbs. Delicious. Even my father, the extreme picky eater, liked them!

Old Fashioned Apple Dumplings
I loved this dough! It's much nicer than just plain pastry dough. The vanilla butter sauce is so much tastier than the ones made with the red cinnamon heart candies. I added less sugar to this to make it a bit more friendly to my family members who are diabetic.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins
Awesome recipe. Easy to make, very tasty. The 2nd time I made it I doubled the recipe and substituted 1/2 cup of Splenda for Baking instead of the amount of white sugar. I also used the Splenda to sprinkle on top after dipping the muffin tops in melted butter. Very good both ways!
