The original posted recipe was used as a base for this dish, but I sauteed the onion and carrots separately from the ground beef, added 3 cups mini-bowtie pasta and substituted 3 cups chicken stock in place of the 1 1/2 cups water, and omitted the molasses and soy sauce using my family's favorite seasonings instead.
