I was impressed technically by the cookie holding together without eggs. It still lacked flavor, though.

For me, this is a year-round recipe. My Dad loves it and considers it my specialty... Little does he know it's not my creation at all! This is a sure winner every time with him. It's so easy to make, tastes great, and lasts such a long time. I should make this all the time! Luckily I have a well-stocked spice rack, so going shopping for ingredients is pretty cheap.

Oh, this is good! Much better than the buttercream frostings I hear referred to so often. I used a double dose of this recipe to frost my first cake ever, a 4-layer devil's food cake, and it turned out very well. Everyone that had a piece absolutely adored it. I loved the frosting, especially. Even when the cake itself became dry, the frosting was still moist and delicious.
