Blackberry Peach Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2009
AMAZING!!!!! The only thing that I did to the recipe was add a bit of sugar to the cinnamon and nutmeg topping. It was the perfect complement to the Peach Ice Cream recipe also found on this sight! (Had LOTS of fresh peaches on hand!)

Peach Ice Cream

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2009
I used only half of the cream called for (b/c that's all I had on hand) and it still came out fabulously! I did add some chunky pieces of peach to the puree just for personal preference. Very sweet and yummy!

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2009
Since I was making enough of this to feed 50, I mixed (instead of layering) all the ingredients except the parm, which I did sprinkle on the top. Otherwise, I made per the recipe. So easy and delish!

Garlic Bubble Ring

Twas very quick and easy, though not quite as garlicky as I was hoping for. Next time I'll probably use garlic salt and the garlic powder. My kids ate it up as is, though!

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2008
This is on the short list of best cheesecakes I've ever eaten! I've made this several times now and we have loved it every time! I double wrap the sides with aluminum foil and also use a water bath and leave it in the oven to cool a minimum of three hours without opening the oven door. Never had a crack yet!

Garlic Cheese Biscuits

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2008
I've made these with both the Bisquick and the Jiffy mixes and think I prefer them made with the Jiffy mix. The Bisquick mix was a little too heavy. Overall, pretty good biscuits, but still not as light and fluffy as "that seafood restraunt".

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2008
My tomato sauce had italian sesonings and the tomato paste was garlic flavored. I also did use one of the deep-dish disposable lasagna pans. I fear it would have been an enormous mess if I hadn't! My hubby said it was better than his mother's!

I did double the butter/sugar sauce, as suggested by many others. It tasted fabulous! What a perfect breakfast for a cold morning!

Wacky Cake VIII

Reviewed: May 9, 2007
Excellent! I made it for a nursing friend that's on a dairy-free, egg-free diet for her sensitive baby. Very chocolaty and moist! I poked a few holes in the top with toothpicks and poured a powdered sugar glaze over it while it was still warm. Better than "regular" cake!

Martha's Cornbread Dressing

It was okay. Not as good as I expected, based on all the comments. Being from south Georgia, I have grown up on cornbread dressing and this was not nearly what I was hoping for.

Crispy Marshmallow Balls

I had some doubts about the taste in the begining, but it turned out very good. Easy to make, too. I made them with a class of preschoolers and they loved it! We did use a toothpick in each one to dip with, as suggested elsewhere. Excellent!!

I nust have messed up somewhere. It was not very good at all. I salvaged it by cutting it into "bread squares". I will not be making this again.

Easy Chocolate Chip Pound Cake

It was very easy to prepare. My 5-year-old did most of the prep work with some supervision. We used a butter recipe cake mix and semi-sweet chocolate chips b/c that's all I had on hand and it turned out great. It was very moist!

Best Carrot Cake Ever

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2005
Not the best I've had, but not the worst either. It was very moist...but something seemed a little "off", taste wise. I did use preshredded carrots, though, which could be what made the difference. Not bad, overall.
