Rum or Bourbon Balls
I made these exactly as instructed minus the nuts (co-worker is allergic to tree nuts). They came out great! I have, however, renamed them drunken balls. lol Wow are these things strong! I didn't give them a week to marinate as suggested. After tasting one the day after made, they were so strong they didn't need to sit for a week! Some have suggested to cut back on the booze. I guess it's personal taste because I liked them just fine with the amount in the recipe. I made my 1st batch with bourbon (which I really like). I'd like to try spiced rum next. Great recipe!

Chicken and Mushroom Chowder
The only thing I added to this was some salt. Other than that, I made it exactly the way it stated. I don't know why people found this bland. There's nothing bland about it (unless you're into really spicey foods). I made this for a dinner at work (I'm a shift worker). I made it the night before for the next night's work. I teased myself with a taste of it. I wanted more but had to hold back! lol The recipe is great just the way it is.

Kettle Corn
I made this exactly how the directions said along with other reviewers' tips for testing 3 kernels for oil rediness and the 3 seconds on the burner between shaking (I did 3 seconds on the burner & 3 seconds of shaking). It came out perfect! You do have to let it cool or else you'll be eating a gooey ball...lol. I guess I was a lil' impatient the 1st time but I couldn't help myself. As it cooled, it was perfect. I had just enough kernels to do this batch. I have to run out to the store for more!
