Field Salad

All I can say is WOW!!!!!!!! This went over great with a baby shower guests this last spring. Instead of raspberry vinaigrette I used some Lighthouse Huckleberry vinaigrette and it was simply blissful! My guests couldn't get enough of it. I loved the way all the flavors blended together. This recipe is proof that simple can be sophisticated - and delicious too!

Chinese Roast Pork

This was INCREDIBLE! I didn't boil down the rest of the marinade to serve with the roast, but it was great, just the same. A friend of ours had dinner with us last night and he praised the roast on how tender it was and said it was hard to get roasts so tender and moist. Thanks for sharing your great recipe with us, Christine!

Not bad, but I would have tried to cook the beans a little bit longer. It was probably just me as a novice fresh-green-bean-cooker but they were still a little hard. Otherwise it was good.

Biggest Bestest Burger

I didn't have any Italian bread crumbs, so I dried out a piece of bread and added some Italian seasoning. And instead of teriyaki sauce I used teriyaki barbecue sauce and it was TERRIFIC! Really good stuff!

Irish Cream Bundt Cake

I made this for a fourth of July picnic and it went over really well! I only had chocolate cake mix and pudding available, so that's what I used and it was absolutely blissful. It was a great use for the rest of the O'Mara's that I had in the fridge and the family loved it!! :)

Simmering Chicken Strawberry Kabobs

Pretty good, but I had trouble keeping the strawberries on the skewers. And instead of the lemon marinade, I used honey, lime and soy sauce...really good. My husband and I liked these a lot and served them with rice pilaf and a nice green salad. I agree that a roasted strawberry is a real treat, too! :)

Restaurant Style Spaghetti Sauce

Hi, this is Corrie who posted the recipe. Just a few corrections. Ground Italian sausage is best in the recipe, not sliced. Also, be sure to use canned Italian style tomatoes and crush them beneath your fingers as you add them to the sauce. Bon appetit!

Oatmeal Pancakes II

These were OK, nothing extraordinary, but they weren't bad. I don't have a food processor so I didn't blend the ingredients. I also used less soda than the recipe called for because of the other review I read. They were good with real maple syrup, though. :)

Savory Onion Bread

This bread was really good! I made it in one of my nonstick cake pans, so I didn't need to grease it. Also, I added some garlic, and a little bit more baking powder, so it was really fluffy. I served it with a beef pot pie and we loved it. I can't wait to make it again.

Chili I

This was really good! The last time I made chili, I botched up the recipe really bad, but this time it turned out wonderful. I didn't have any unsweetened chocolate so I used some regular baking cocoa and a spoonful of shortening and it turned out wonderful. I doubled the recipe and my dinner guests LOVED it. I am DEFINITELY going to make this again! Corrie Sasser :)

Mixed Greens with Walnut and Roasted Onion Dressing
