This is by and far the best banana bread I have ever made. Thank you so much for a great recipe!

Asiago Sun-Dried Tomato Pasta

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2006
This is good stuff...let me start off by saying that. This is REALLY, REALLY, REALLY good, sinful, fattening, luscious, heavenly stuff. Yum! Okay, onto the review...I halved the recipe, and since I didn't have butter I used the bit of bacon grease that was left in the pan after I fried it. Instead of just asiago cheese, I tossed in a little Stilton that I had in the fridge, and lacking cream, I just put in some sour cream before it was done cooking. I didn't have any pasta (quelle horreur!) so I served this with rice instead. I can't wait to make t again. Thanks for sharing!

Holy mackerel. Right out of the oven, warm, luscious, melt in my mouth good. I only wish I had some ice cream to enjoy this with. Wow...

Best Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2006
Good heavens, this is good! I had to make some adjustments being that I didn't have any stuffing mix, celery salt or soy sauce - so I did what I do most of the time, and I improvised. I used the rest of my container of Old English breadcrumbs with 1/2 cup grape nuts thrown in there for crunch, and used seasoning salt too. The chicken is amazingly tender and moist, and the sour cream gives it an excellent flavor. Very impressed, I'll be making this again. Thanks for sharing, Emily!

My grandmother makes something very similar to this, except that hers has a mayonnaise and sour cream dressing. Good stuff!

I was pleasantly surprised! Just the right combination of sweet and tart. I'll make this again.

Wilderness Place Lodge Cookies

Great stuff! The dough was thick, heavy and hard to work with, but the cookies were so amazing it made it all worth it for me. I probably won't make them often, but I am very glad I chose to make them tonight. Thanks for sharing!

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2005
This is quite possibly the best banana bread I've ever had, and I'm NOT JOKING about that! The sliced bananas, the sour cream, it all intermingles to make the most happiness-inducing banana bread imagineable. No complaints from the peanut gallery on this one. My boyfriend also loved it, and he's hard to please. :)

Tia and David's Deep Fried Tortellini

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2005
Very, very good. I didn't have any regular cornflakes, but I had honey-flavored ones. I mixed them with some Italian bread crumbs and had lemon chicken tortellini. Very unusual, and again, very good. I'll make this again.

Pecochoc Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2005
These weren't too bad. I had some pecans that I needed to use, so decided that I'd try this recipe. I screwed up and added an extra egg (so added some more flour to try and counterbalance that out), and since I didn't have any instant coffee, I used some Bailey's instead. They had a great flavor, but weren't too different from most other chocolate chip cookies that I've had.

Quiche Lorraine I

This was good but didn't set up as I had expected it to...although I really enjoyed it. I'll make it again, though...and it might just have been my oven as it is a bit temperamental at times.

Sauerbraten Klopse (Sauerbraten Meatballs)

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2005
I've never had sauerbraten or anything similar, but this meatball recipe beckoned to me from among the others. Maybe it was the German...I'm not sure. But...WOW! I loved these! I made them tonight for dinner as a good friend of mine and her boyfriend came over. I followed the advice of another reviewer and thickened the gravy with gingersnap crumbs, which sounded a bit odd to me, but gave the gravy a delicious flavor. Yum. Sweet yet still tangy. I think I'm in love. And if I was a man, I'd ask you to marry me, Christine!

Orange Pecan French Toast

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2005
SOP, I love you. I made this today for a friend of mine who came for breakfast with frozen blackberries sweetened with a little sugar and some homemade whipped cream...and out of the baked French toast recipes that I've tried this one is absolutely the best. I did make some adaptations which worked out quite nicely; added a little more orange peel than the recipe called for and a little less orange juice (about 1/2 cup). I also used brioche instead of French bread and was delighted with the results! Thank you (and the bed & breakfast you and your husband stayed at!) for supplying this amazing recipe. It'll be on my repetoire for YEARS to come!

Quick and Easy Green Chile Chicken Enchilada Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2005
Since I moved to Tucson in February, I've been experimenting with making more Southwestern-style foods, and this is one that I have absolutely fallen in love with. It's easy to make (as per the recipe title) and is SO good. My fiance absolutely loves it and begged me to make it for tonight's dinner. The last time I made it, the guests mentioned that it was like "Mexican lasagna", which definitely sounded like a good name to me. Great stuff!

Brownies To Die For

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2004
I know I'm not the only one that had problems with this recipe - so that's good to know. It was delicious, don't get me wrong - but twenty minutes in a 9x9 pan was nowhere near enough time for these. They were great, we scooped it out of the pan, but as for brownies this recipe was severely lacking. Taste, on the other hand, was wonderful. I'm going to make these again in a 13x9 pan and give them another shot, however. (Edit...I did make them again, in a 9x13 pan and they were perfect! Thanks!)

Chocolate Cavity Maker Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2004
Wow. This is the best chocolate cake I have ever had. I took it to my mom & dad's as an early Valentines Day present and they both really enjoyed it. They are on Weight Watchers, so they both only had small pieces (well, Mom only had one small piece, my father had four, LOL). The combination of the sour cream, pudding mix, chocolate chips and Kahlua makes this a cake that I would walk across hot coals for. Thank you, Caitlin. I could say it a million times and I still wouldn't have expressed my thanks enough for this incredible recipe.

Ambrosia Fruit Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2003
This was great! I've never made ambrosia before, but a family friend was having a luau and requested that everyone bring a 'tropical' type dish. With pineapple and coconut this fit the bill, and it was a huge hit! I used tropical fruit salad to add to the Hawaiian theme, and it was a hit. My father was devastated that my mom and I came home without leftovers. Thank you, Kimberley, this will be going into my regular rotation!!!

Amish Yumazuti

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2003
No complaints here! It's very appropriate this dish is called Amish YUMzuti because it is delicious! I just took it out of the oven and had to try a little bit since it smelled so good when it was baking. The cheese made this glorious crust over the noodles, and that alone was enough to make me give this a five-star review. The combination of cream of chicken soup, canned tomatoes and ground beef sounded bizarre, but it is really complimentary. I used bow-tie pasta and greased the bottom of my baking dish with I Can't Believe It's Not Butter spray. The noodles came out without any problems, and I'm thoroughly enjoying my tiny helping of this great casseole. Thank you for sharing, Karen! I'll be sure to make this again.

Grundle Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2003
I made these without the nuts. The only problem I had was due to the oat flour, which made the dough really stiff and hard to work with. Otherwise, both my husband and I really enjoyed them - a good cookie, thanks for sharing :)
