Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2008
This was pretty good. I didn't bother with the gravy (no beef broth) and added fresh garlic and onion to the patties as suggested by another reviewer. Was a hit with out family of four, thanks. :)

A deliciously different green bean casserole! I like this one much better than the usual mushroom soup based one. Excellent!

Lemonade Pie IV

I've made this a couple of times and every time it's a hit. I have also used strawberry lemonade concentrate and Bacardi pina colada mix for a delicious twist. Yum. :)

Leftover Chicken Croquettes

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2007
Pretty good. I have made these a couple of times, and I think they turned out much better this time than they did the first time I made them. My fiance thought they were good but a little bit bland - the next time I make them, I'll probably add some sauteed sweet pepper to dress it up a bit. He dipped his in ranch dressing, I ate mine without. Either way, this is good eating!

Almost Stuffed Peppers

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2007
I've made this a few times now and I've come to the conclusion that I like it best with red, yellow and orange peppers, instant brown rice, and tomato sauce instead of the stewed tomatoes. Great weeknight dinner...quick, easy and good. :)

Broccoli Chicken Casserole I

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2007
Well, let's see. I probably could have chopped up my broccoli into smaller pieces (used a bag of Broccoli Wokly from the store, which comes in giant mutant florets), but otherwise...I have to say I really enjoyed this dish. My fiance also really liked it - his comment was "Chicken, broccoli, cheese and stuffing, all good." I think next time I might cook the stuffing first and put it over the top as a crust, but there were no complaints from either of us. Thanks!

Pecan-Oatmeal Pancakes

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2007
These are good...very filling! My fiance could hardly finish his and I could scarcely eat one whole pancake. They reminded me a little of the Harvest Grain & Nut pancakes at IHOP, actually. The reason for the four-star rating is because I thought they were a little bit heavy, but that might have been my fault. Anyway, great recipe - I'll make these again.

Mexican Lasagna

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2007
This was great. I added some corn (and MUCH more cheese) as per one of the reviews, which I thought was a great touch. I made it for dinner last night and my fiance and his parents thought it was delicious! We had it with avocado, diced tomato and sour cream. Thanks for sharing, I'll definitely be making this one again.

Chicken Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2007
Pretty good. My fiance liked it a lot. I took the advice of another reviewer and used beef broth instead of water. What confused me was the measurement of half of a cup of soy sauce when in the recipe, all it calls for is eight tablespoons, four in the beginning and four in finishing. When - and if - I make this again, I'll add more chicken.

Classic Tossed Salad

Reviewed: May 20, 2007
This was good, but I don't know if I'll ever make it again. If I do, I'll probably leave out the olives (I followed another review and bought kalamata olives from the olive bar at the store) and they were far too salty...guess they must be an acquired taste, one that I don't have. Save the olives, I actually thought this was really good. I bought flavored "Italian Parmesan" almonds from the store, couldn't find sesame seeds so I left them out, and served it with Litehouse balsamic vinaigrette. Nothing to sing about, but definitely not a terrible salad, either.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: May 20, 2007
An excellent lasagna. I ended up making it in a larger pan and wasn't able to layer as much as I would have liked, but it was delicious. As much as I hate to sound like a broken record, the sauce was amazing!!!! My fiance is sitting and eating some for lunch right now as I type this, and he hasn't been able to stop singing its praises. Thanks for sharing! I'll be sure to make this again; if I choose to do it in a larger pan a second time I'll double the recipe. Great stuff, thanks for sharing!

Avocado Citrus Salad

Reviewed: May 14, 2007
This was awfully good. I didn't use the full amount of lettuce that it called for, but I did end up making the full amount of dressing, which puddled in the bottom of the bowl, turning the remaining ingredients to mush...but that was my fault entirely! I made this for a family dinner a while ago and it was thoroughly enjoyed by all. The only change I made was adding more avocado...delicious! Thanks for sharing, I'll be sure to make this one again.

Tara's Sweet and Chunky Chicken Salad

Reviewed: May 10, 2007
Holy moly, this was great! I didn't have sunflower seeds so used slivered almonds, and I was out of onion. The dried cranberries ARE the secret ingredient...and this is absolutely heavenly on oatnut bread with a couple slices of Swiss cheese. I'm glad I have some more...it's tomorrow's lunch! :)

Waikiki Meatballs

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2007
I am incredibly impressed with this great recipe! While making the meatballs, I took a cue from the Joy Of Cooking and mixed the ingredients together with my hand mixer and added just a little bit of water...made them fluffy! I also followed the suggestions of other reviewers by baking the meatballs as opposed to frying, and by adding a little ketchup to the sauce. My fiance loves this dish...looks like it will be going on our regular rotation from now on! Thanks for sharing, we appreciate it a lot. :-)
